Hockey ‘A’ Div League: SWR Hubli and RWF post wins

The round robin matches of the tournament will begin after the pool matches are completed on 28th September.

South Western Railway, Hubli beat Coorg Blues, 4 – 0, on 27th September, in the ongoing ‘A’ Division Hockey Tournament organised by Karnataka State Hockey Association. Nagraj H of SWR scored a hat trick at 28th, 29th and 40th minutes of the game and Kiran Gagade scored a goal in the 50th minute to spur the team to victory.

RWF Beat BSNL by 5-0:

For RWF: Jayaraj.M – 21st min; Ravikumar – 44th min; Sampath S.N – 51st, 56th min; Harjeet – 59th min.

ITI Beat SHBHC, Gadag by 2-1

For ITI: Somaiah – 56th min; Rajendra Kumar – 57th min.

For SHBHC: Durgesh Manpatti – 22nd min.

The ‘A’ Division Tournament, which began on 5th September, has 15 teams participating in it. The last two pool matches will be played between SWR, Hubli and RBI, SAI ‘B’ and MEG Boys today at the hockey stadium at Langford Town. Four teams round robin league will be played and the fixtures for the same will be drawn at the end of the pool matches.
