Webinar alert: Career conundrum in 12th grade: How to keep stress at bay

Even as Class 10 results are declared and class 12 students continue to appear for various entrance tests and colleges gear up for implementation of NEP, young adults are trying to figure out the “best possible path.”

Gone are the days when students chose medical, engineering, law and management as professional courses for successful careers. From social media marketing to cinematography to data science, students have an array of choices. However, this wide range of options for higher education and potentially a long-lasting successful career, creates confusion and immense pressure on young adults, in the age group of 16-19.

Students are tackling a host of dilemmas related to qualifying exams, number of courses, fee structures and scholarships, job prospects and individual aspirations and dreams.

Many youth switch careers later after they realise what they are passionate about, while some continue their present job for livelihood and sustenance. These youth, if provided with better career guidance earlier, will be able to make better choices.

In this webinar, we try to understand how to deal with the pressure, is there a way of identifying what suits your personality and pocket, is it okay to change track, how money – fees and future income prospects – become a deciding factor in choosing courses for higher studies.

Date: Jun 22, Thursday
Time: 6 pm – 7 pm

Panelists will examine solutions to address the career conundrum among young adults.

The discussion will be held over Zoom and live-streamed on our YouTube channel.
