With a near universal acknowledgement of the need to segregate and process solid waste within the city, a meeting organised by a city organisation tried to look at the big picture.

With High Court directing that ward committees be formed, corporators are to submit their nominees by Tuesday in a special BBMP session.

A meeting is called by the top brass of the city’s adminstrators to meet active citizens. Citizens drop their reservations and go, only to find, just like earlier times, BBMP has no clarity.

BBMP is going back and forth on whether they will collect garbage from apartments, whom they term bulk generators? If they don’t, how do apartments handle the generated trash?
