On January 9th, the 2 km walking track around Kaikondrahalli lake was abuzz with activity. The recently concluded Kere Habba at the lake premises is a testimony to how much the community cares about the lake.

An entire day by the lakeside. Workshops, walks, awareness sessions, rangoli, painting, orchestra and fun. Over 3000 citizens celebrated Kere Habba on the Kaikondrahalli lake premises.

Two photo contests are open for all enthusiastic shutterbugs. One is focussed on city-nature interaction and other is for photographs of Kaikondrahalli lake.

The way Kaikondrahalli lake has been rejuvenated is one of the success stories of Bangalore. Priya Ramasubban gives all credits to the government for it.
