BMTC Student Concessional Pass for 2017-18

Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation is commencing the issue of Student Concessional Bus Pass for the year 2017-18 through pre-printed card and newly introduced Smart Card.  The smart card and pre printed passes are simultaneously issued by BMTC for the smooth and hassle-free issuance of passes for the students of Primary, High School and PUC grades. The Pre printed passes will be issued from 12 June 2017 and Smart card from 17 June 2017 onwards.

Students who have availed  the pre printed passes have to switchover to smart cards compulsorily, between 01 Aug 2017 to 30 Sep 2017 at the BMTC Smart Card issuing counters. In cases where manual pass is replaced with Smart Card- processing & other fee (Rs.130/-) will not be charged again.

Further, in the best interest of student community BMTC is issuing passes from 6.30 am to 9 pm at the following bus stations.

  1. Kempegowda Bus station
  2. Banashankari TTMC
  3. Jayanagara TTMC
  4. Shivajinagara Bus station
  5. Yashavanthapura TTMC
  6. Vijayanagara TTMC
  7. Kengeri TTMC
  8. Kalyananagara Bus station

     Beside, these passes will be issued at 35 pass counters spread across the city as listed below. The counters will function from 0800 hrs to 1700 hrs on all working days and remain close on Sundays & General Holidays.

Shanthinagar Bus Station, BMTC Indiranagar Depot, Domlur Bus Station, Jeevanbhimanagar Bus Station, KR Puram Bus station, Kavalbyrasandra Bus Station, Basaveshwaranagar Bus Stn, Vijayanagar TTMC, Chandra Layout Bus station, MCTC Bus station, Kumarswamy Layout Bus station, , Neelasandra Bus Station, Hampi Nagar Bus station, Nandini Layout Bus Stn, Nelamangala Bus Stn, Chowdeshwari (Mattikere) Bus station, Vidyaranyapura Bus Station, Yelahanka 5th phase, Yelahanka New town, Rajajinagar 1st ‘N’ block, Malleshwaram Bus Station (18th cross), Channamanakere Acchukattu,  BTM layout Bus station, Electronic city Depot, BMTC Koramangala TTMC,  KR Market,  Kadugodi, Bannerghatta TTMC, Uttarahalli, Chandapura, Hosakote, Devanahalli, Doddaballapura, Yelahanka Old Town, Peenya Bus stand and Hesaragatta Bus station.

As per the order of Govt. of Karnataka, BMTC is providing free bus passes for Schedule caste and Schedule Tribe students. Accordingly free bus passes will be issued at a free of cost. But Processing fee of Rs. 80/-, insurance fee of Rs.40/- & Information Technology fee of Rs.10/-, totaling Rs.130/- has to be paid by the SC & ST Students.

Application forms for the issue of Student concessional passes are made available at free of cost in Major Bus Stations and the application form can also be downloaded from the BMTC website (www.mybmtc.com) .

The photo attested application are to be submitted along with the

  1. Original fee receipt for the current academic year (exempted in case of Government schools).
  2. ID card issued by schools/Colleges
  3. One Stamp size recent photo of the applicant and
  4. The prescribed pass fee.
  5. Copy of the Aadhar Card
  6. Schedule Caste & Tribe students must provide valid SC/ST Caste Certificate
