After dogged perseverance with the BMTC for 17 years, Kuvempunagar (BTM) Resident's Welfare Association (KRWA), finally succeeded in getting a new bus route the area. The route became operational from 6th August this year. The new bus route, 25N, will begin near 14th Corss, 7th Main in 2nd Stage BTM Layout and proceed to Majestic and vice-versa at an average interval of one hour fifteen minutes. Even after making her home in Koramangla, dust-free, Shilpa Rao, 55, a teacher at an international school, suffered from persistent allergic reactions. Her doctor suggested that the problem might lie in her mattress and she needs to get it cleaned. She contacted ‘Clean Fanatic', a company specialising in cleaning mattresses. Kannada film director Pawan Kumar's decision to include 12 minutes of extra scenes in his debut movie ‘Lifeu Ishtene', starring Diganth, has run into trouble with the State Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The scenes were originally part of the film certified by the censor board but were cut when the movie was released in theatres a few weeks ago. They are now being included in the screenings. Former football player for Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), C K Ranganatha, aged 61, passed away on Monday, 26th September at Vega Hospital in Malleshwaram where he was being treated. He is survived by a wife and two sons. He was cremated atHarishchandraghat at Srirampura the next day. Players from the football fraternity and employees of BHEL paid their respects.
