Come on Bengaluru, let’s celebrate digital revolution

The third edition of Mashable’s Social Media Day is being celebrated by social media enthusiasts all across the world on June 30. It  is a day to recognise the digital revolution happening across the world.

Bangalore is playing host to a city wide celebration on the day organised by Graffiti Collaborative, a creative agency based out of the city ( Social Media enthusiasts from across the city are coming together to make the event a fabulous blend of fun and knowledge sharing – truly in the spirit of social media.

The celebrations for the day will be span across different media platforms and activities. The day will start early at 7am with an Insta-Walk with Nagesh K R at Cubbon Park. An Insta-walk is a get together of Instagram enthusiasts capturing brilliant pictures using the app & sharing tips and tricks for the same. The Insta-Walk will culminate at 9:30am over breakfast at Café Coffee Day at Emporio Davanam on MG Road.

The Insta-walk will be followed by a panel discussion at 11am at Hard Rock Café on St Marks Rd. The panels will touch upon multiple aspects of social media – thereby giving us an opinion on where it stands today & where it is headed. The panelists will include influencers on social media, brand managers and social media professionals. Some of the confirmed panelists include Prem Panikar, Editor, Yahoo; Ashwath Ganesan, Social Head, Ogilvy; Elango R, Head HR, Mphasis; Preetham Venkky, Business Head Asia, KRDS and many more. Enthusiasts of social media who want to understand the industry trends better should definitely try attending this ‘Invite Only’ event. The discussion will close with a lunch.

In Bangalore, there is no better way to celebrate than to unwind over a few beers & cocktails. And that is precisely what we will be doing in the second half of the day.

The celebrations begin at Herbs & Spice, Indiranagar at 3pm. A very creative twitter led activity is planned out along with some personalised bartending sessions for all while you relax to some good old classics.

The party will continue at Manchester United in Koramangala from 7pm. The line up for the evening will  include an eclectic mix of interactive activities like stand up comedy, quiz, games etc.

And obviously a day to celebrate digital revolution cannot happen without online activities. We have integrated multiple activities online as well. You can get access to all of them by visiting the organiser’s Facebook page –
