The programme commenced with a children’s talent programme. A number of children, the youngest just three, sang classical music and folk songs. A Bharatanatyam dance and a Michael Jackson "moonwalk" were some of the highlights of the children’s presentation.

A group of six children – Aditya S M, Chaitanya Sindagi, Shriank Kanaparti, Pranav Prabhas, Arnav Mhaske and Anuj Tambwekar – who had won the Indian leg of the First Lego League (FLL) robotics competition, presented a skit. The skit was based on their prize-winning demonstration on how to detect pollution in mangoes. The group will represent India in the global round in St. Louis, USA.

Thereafter, a Karaoke programme was organised for adults. The residents had a great time crooning the hits of Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar and some of the popular recent film songs as well.

Ramalinga Reddy, MLA, BTM Layout, was the chief guest, and inaugurated the fence between the playground and park, constructed with the MLA’s fund grant.
