Children today are used to consuming largely synthetic forms of entertainment with a constant barrage of visuals, courtesy the television and cinema. However, the old fashioned form of storytelling affords children a chance to explore the art of listening, and promotes a heightened sense of unaided imagination and promotes creative day dreaming.
