Tax payers money for government rally

The government spent our tax money to conduct the recent Anti Terror Awareness rally, instead of getting experts to visit every institution, discuss the issue and create awareness in a proper way.

‘Anti Terror Awareness to Students, Bangalore’ witnessed a huge rally by the ruling government for the above subject and the life of the common man was put to inconvenience to a certain extent.

Is it the correct way of spreading the subject matter? At whose cost is this being done? Are we paying the taxes for the government to spend lavishly on such unwanted issues? Will this put a barricade to the terrorists? Will this create a fear amongst the terrorists? Will the terrorists omit Bangalore OR Karnataka from their attack lists?

Don’t you all agree, that the correct way to create awareness is to form teams of experts and visit every institution, discuss the issue and create awareness in a proper way that is understandable by each and every youth? What will be the cost involved for this and the amount spent on the rally?

The new government is indeed fighting against corruption and in the process, it is CREATING AN OCEAN OF WEALTH out of the public taxes for its own. One will recollect the expenses submitted against an RTI raised about the meeting called for to discuss the property tax at Ravindra Kalakshetra, where lakhs were spent on lunch and other eatables, when NOT EVEN DRINKING WATER WAS OFFERED to any person attending the meeting.

Corruption was being paid only by the person who was in need of a favour OR to indulge in immoral activity, but now the genuine tax payers funds are being converted into corruption of a different form. Atleast with this, will the government mend its ways?

In my frank opinion India lacks honest politicians and government officers. Due to corruption cost of living of common people is getting increased. See how Sampangi caught redhanded by Lokatuta got bail by behaving like a patient in hospital at government expense. All politicl parties and politicians are either corrupt or supporrtersd of corruption. See how Speaker of Karnataka Asembly says his permissioin is necessary for raiding corrupt MLAs. I am sure speaker is a supporter of corrupt persons. Our Constitution has miserably failed in achieving its objective. B S GANESH

Whether it is Rajyothsava Day, Independence Day or Republic Day celebration, it is Tax payers money which is spent for all Government sponsored events. Even various memorial ghats in New Delhi are maintained by splurging Tax payers money. So the question should be whether Ant-Terror meet for school/college going children needs to be organized and whether BJP is getting any political mileage out of this.

Just an emotional speech by the father of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan must have made some deep impact on the impressible minds of the children assembled and inspired some. So it is difficult to brush away the motive behind the function as political. It is by boycotting the function by the opposition parties which is giving a unwarranted political hue to the whole affair. A sustained effort and vigil thro’ various media is required to make the citizen alert about the shenanigans of Terrorist. A mere one off event would not serve any purpose. Take the case of Platinum Jubilee event of Karnataka Film Industry conducted at the Palace grounds just a day after the Anti-terrorist meet at Bangalore. It was a disaster and reflected very badly on the unprofessional disdain in which Police handled the event ! Anything could have happened, even if a single mad terrorist was lurking around! It is a wonder why CM, who himself graced the function and saw the utter chaos and lawlessness at the venue did not order an Enquiry so far.
