What are your hobbies?

Listening to classical music, afforestation, reading and writing, promotion of sports activities such as Kabbadi and volleyball.

Family details (who and what they do, spouse, children)

My budget for campaign shall be within the permissible limits. My sources are personal earnings and contribution from friends and well-wishers.

What are the problems faced by your constituency?

Traffic congestion, poor footpath, water shortage, poor street lights, safety of senior citizens and garbage clearance.

Explain about the Malleswaram vegetable market controversy, where you supported some of the vendors. What do you think should be done there? If you are elected what is your plan for this market?

The Malleswaram Market is in existence from times immemorial. The vendors are people who make their daily living out of the small trade they make. The vendors should be protected and their right to livelihood be safe-guarded.

Give us three reasons why the people of your constituency should vote for you.

  1. Native of Malleswaram
  2. Actively involved in social and cultural activities.
  3. Experience as an able and proven police officer.

Do you support the abuse of power to allot G-Category sites, if you are elected?

No. I am the recipient of the highest award in police service – the President’s Medal for Gallantry, which entitles me to claim for a G-Category site but I continue to live in my own residence which I have derived ancestrally.

If elected, will you support commercial or residential development in areas where there is neither BWSSB water supply or bore-well permissions.

No.

What plan do you have for sustainable water supply for the city apart from digging bore wells or Cauvery water?

Promoting rain water harvesting, economic use of water at residences, initiating water re-cycling at huge commercial and residential Buildings.

What difference do you think you can make as a legislator, given the fact that you are an ex-cop?

Throughout my police career, I have been people-friendly, my office doors were always open and people never needed an appointment to meet me. My experience of overseeing a huge department has made me gain experience as an administrator, motivator and good listener, which should make me perform as a legislator.

Who do you think is your powerful opponent candidate in the constituency?

My powerful opponents are the issues facing the residents of Malleswaram Assembly Constituency.
