Bengaluru Jeevana has arrived

Citizen Matters has released Bengaluru Jeevana, a guide book of 140 pages, all in Kannada. The book is rewritten and translated from Citizen Matters’ popular Living in Bengaluru English guidebook.

With an identical look and feel to the English book, and priced at Rs 80, the Kannada guide is a much needed source of information for living in the city and getting things done. It contains information for everything from getting property papers to voter registration to driving licenses and recycling.

In addition to the testimonials given for the English book, this book has testimonials from well known Bangaloreans Prakash Belawadi and Nagesh Hegde. Justice Santosh Hegde’s comments are on the back cover and Mohandas Pai’s recommendation for the book is the foreword, like in the English book.

With this, the Citizen Matters team hopes that Kannada-reading citizens of Bengaluru will have access to same useful guide material that has the made the English version a hit with thousands of households all around the city.

Living in Bengaluru (English), launched in August 2012, is available at around 150 outlets around the city. This month, Total Mall has started retailing the English guidebook at all their five supermarkets – Mysore Road, Madiwala, Sarjapur Road, Mahadevpura and HAL Airport Road.living in bengaluru english book
