Rotary Indiranagar inter-school Hockey tourney: Maria Niketan and St Meera’s in top four

The first phase of the ‘G.S.Randhawa Memorial Inter School Boys Hockey Tournament’ organised by Rotary Club Indiranagar in association with Karnataka State Hockey Association (KSHA) concluded on 26th August. Eighteen boys’ teams are competing in the tournament which kicked off on 22nd August.

The schools that qualified for the second phase of Inter School Boys Tournament  are: Pool ‘A’ – Maria Niketan ; Pool ‘B’ – Rashtriya Military School ; Pool ‘C’ – Sarala Birala Academy ; Pool ‘D’ – St.Meera’s High School. The second phase will begin from 29th August and the matches will go on at the KSHA Stadium at Langford Town.

The first phase of the inter-school girls’ tournament  named ‘Boti Reddy Inter School Girls Hockey tournament’ will go on till the 31st. Eight teams are playing for the title.

Match 1: Sarala Birla Academy beat Bright H S by 14-0
23 August
Match 1: Rashtriyia Military School beat Jain International School by 9-0
Match 2: Sarala Birla Academy beat KHS – Hoskote by 3-0
24 August
Match No.1: St.Johns High School and Ever Shines High School match ended in goal less draw.
25 August
Match 1: St Meeras High School beat The International Bangalore School by 1-0
Match 2: Maria Niketan H S beat Ever Shine H S by 2-0
26 August
1st Match: KHS – Hoskote beat Bright School by 7-0
2nd Match: MARIA NIKETAN SCHOOL beat ST, JOHNS HIGH SCHOOL BY 1-0

22 August
Match 1: Ever Shine H S beat Bishop Cotton ‘B’ G.H.S by 3-0
24 August
Match No.1: Bishop Cotton ‘A’ beat K.V.NAL by 2-0
Match No.2: Bishop Cotton ‘B’ beat Bright Public School by 4-0
25 August
Match No.1: Bishop Cotton ‘A’ beat The International Bangalore School by 7-0
26 August
1st Match: Ever Shine High School beat Bright Public School by 6-0
