CMC working at snail’s speed

Residents of Dodda Bommasandra in Byatarayanapura are forced to park their vehicles far away from their house due to the CMC's delay in completion of road works.

I wish to bring to your notice and hopefully the notice of all Bangaloreans the problems being faced by 10 families in Dodda Bommasandra, Vidyaranyapura Post that comes under Byatarayanapura CMC. About 50 days (9th March 2009) ago CMC workers came to lay concrete slabs on our drains and for that purpose they dug up our drains, removed the stone slabs that were covering them and filled the approach road to our houses with all the debris from this work.

They promised that the work will be completed in two days. It has been 50 days now and the work goes on very sporadically. to bring normalcy and usability back to this road. There are about 10 two-wheelers and five cars that belong to people living on this road and all of us are now forced to park our vehicles in very far off and unprotected places. This is causing a lot of trouble to us citizens. I hope that responsible authorities take notice of this immediately and help us by bringing this road back to a usable form.

Work has started to roll on and CMC workers have started put a few layers of gravel and sand. A road roller has visited the road to flatten it further. So as of 12th May I would around 40% of the work is complete.
