  1. The data shown above cannot be viewed completely .I need this data urgently for a school project. Can you please share this data .I need to add horizontally and find the annnual rainfall in Bangalore in last 50 years. Thanks

    I need to use this kind of data for planning a rainwater harvesting system in Kundalahalli, Bangalore. Would you mind posting data until 2016?

  3. The reason for adding horizontally is this. I recently read a book by Benjamin Rice. It’s the Mysore gazetteer. In it he had rainfall records from 1826 to 1898. Some 57 years or so.

    In summary the annual rains for that Period were:

    635 mm to 762 mm of rainfall for about 10 yrs.

    762 mm to 899 mm for 14 years.

    899 mm to 1016 mm for 15 years.

    1016 to 1143 mm for 9 years.

    It was in inches of rain in the book. I just converted it by multiplying with 25.4 which is somewhat correct.

    An aside, this Benjamin is Benjamin Lewis Rice. He’s the son of Benjamin Holt Rice. The father has the Rice memorial building on Avenue Road.

  4. I’m reading on my phone. I’m assuming its centimeters of rain? I don’t see any units.

    May I request you to add up horizontally also. That way we’ll know if we’re getting overall same quantity or not.
